Aqua Security, an Israel-based leading pure-play cloud-native security provider with Indian operations at Hyderabad, has recently concluded its first-everAquathon, a global employee well-being initiative. Proceeds of the initiative will go directly to COVID relief support for India, focused on helping the families whose breadwinners have succumbed to coronavirus. Aquathon aims to give back to the community while building a strong, healthy, and united workforce. Aqua employees across the world raised funds for an Indian non-profit organization by registering their step-count for seven days and to raise funds for COVID relief in India.
Speaking about the initiative, Mr. Bhuvan Bhatt, Aqua India & R&D Head, said, “We are deeply concerned by the critical situation in India induced by COVID-19. Aquathon serves asa humanitarian relief effort to combat the virus. Through our joint effort, we aim to support families that have lost the breadwinner to this unfortunate crisis. If the worst of the pandemic has taught us anything, it’s the power of unity. It is truly humbling to witness our global workforce coming together to give back to our community. We hope we can make a small difference with initiatives like Aquathon.”
Talking about her participation in the company’s unique initiative, Ms. TejaswiCherukuri, Software Engineer, Aqua Security, said, “Aquathon was my firstphysical community service activity. My goal was to contribute as much as I could through my individual role in order to contribute to a larger significant companyeffort. The experience was bothmemorable and motivating – working toward a common goal of COVID relief helped us grow as a team”.
