Meghalaya Principal Secretary and Additional Director General of CRPF GH P Raju has urged for collective action against corruption in India. Speaking at a Youth for Anti-Corruption meeting in Hyderabad, Raju emphasized the power of a committed group of individuals in bringing about change in the country.

 The Power of a Committed Group

Raju stated that just 1000 committed collectors are enough to make a significant difference in the fight against corruption. He reminded those in attendance that every government official is a public servant and not the boss of the people, and encouraged individuals to record instances of fake cases and police misbehavior and share them on social media.

 Programs to Combat Corruption

The Youth for Anti-Corruption organization has given many suggestions for programs to help combat corruption. They plan to increase voter awareness, particularly in areas where vote-buying is prevalent, and to educate rural youth about their rights under the Right to Information Act. The organization also plans to recognize and honor honest officials in order to inspire future generations to follow in their footsteps.

Raju’s message was a reminder that it only takes a committed group of individuals to bring about real change in the fight against corruption. The efforts of organizations like Youth for Anti-Corruption can have a significant impact in the country, and with continued dedication and collective action, corruption can be combated and future generations can be inspired to do the same.
