Volvo Group launches‘Vaccinationon Wheels’ inpartnership with Narayana Health

With the aim to complement the efforts of Karnataka Government, Volvo Group, inpartnership with Narayana Health, and under the aegis of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), launched a free vaccination drive through a specially re-purposed VolvoBus. This bus will operate as a Mobile Vaccination Clinic and provide enhanced and easy vaccine accessibility to people acrosss everal districts in rural andsemi-urban Karnataka.The mobile clinic christened “Vaccination on Wheels” was today flagged off by theHon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri Basavaraj Bommaialong with key state dignitaries in the presence of Dr. Devi Shetty, Chairman, Narayana Health, Mr. KamalBali, President & MD, Volvo Group in India, and Mr. Ramesh Ramadurai, Chairman, CII,Karnataka.

TheVolvoVaccinationBuswilloperateforfourtosixmonthswithacapacitytoadminister700-800doses per day. The bus is fully equipped for the purpose, including 4 vaccination stations, storage& refrigeration of the vaccines, emergency beds, pantry and a chemical toilet. The bus will beac companied by experienced Doctors& Paramedics from Narayana Health who will administerand oversee the inoculation process, together with on-site registration and waiting areas for public. The bus will commence itsmission starting with Bangalore Rural district of Karnataka.
